To the eye
Mumm Ice Xtra is an intense golden yellow hue with subtle amber highlights, and its bubbles are lively.
On the nose
A first nose of delicate woody aromas evolves into exotic notes of vanilla bean with hints of ripe pineapple and mango that balance wonderfully against subtle notes of praline and milk caramel.
On the palate
Mumm Ice Xtra delivers rich, explosive flavors of intense, mouth-watering honey, nougat and pastry cream that are a lovely counterpoint to sweet notes of praline, vanilla and cedar. On the palate it is elegantly round with beautiful structure. A refreshing touch of woody aromas highlights the wine’s sweet flavors and delivers a very long and delightful finish.

The story of Maison Mumm is one of legendary terroirs and of a bold, distinctive grape: Pinot Noir.

With its power and rich, elegant fruit, the black grape takes pride of place in the House’s classic blends, to which Chardonnay and Meunier grapes add their inimitable floral and fruity notes.

Mumm Ice Xtra is full of contrasts. The freshness and sweetness of the dosage are an excellent match, resulting in a wonderfully round wine with exotic aromas.

Behind the cuvée

Mumm Ice Xtra is a contemporary riff on Maison Mumm’s long tradition of demi-sec Champagnes. It was specifically crafted for the art of mixology and is ideal for concocting cocktails. Finished with a dosage made from reserve wines aged in American oak casks, Mumm Ice Xtra is truly singular, with exotic and woody notes.

Mumm Ice Xtra is best enjoyed very cold, ideally at 6° C, in a chilled glass straight out of the freezer or refreshed with a few ice cubes. This cuvée is aged for at least twenty months in Maison Mumm’s iconic cellars dug into the chalky rock beneath the city of Reims. After the dosage is added, the wines age for two additional months that are essential to letting the liqueur blend perfectly with the wine and finalizing the Champagne’s singular aromatic palette.
