Mumm Cordon Rouge: 150 years marked by a new visual identity
A breath of fresh air for the iconic Cordon Rouge cuvée: ahead of its 150th anniversary in 2026, Mumm Cordon Rouge reveals a new visual identity. This refined evolution honours its rich heritage while embracing a contemporary aesthetic, perfectly capturing the unique balance and forward-looking spirit that have defined the Maison for more than two centuries.
Mumm’s Red Ribbon:
A timeless symbol of excellence
Founded in 1827, Maison Mumm is rooted in a history spanning almost two centuries, inspired by its founder Georges Hermann Mumm and his visionary motto, “Nec plus ultra” – only the best.
In 1876, G.H. Mumm introduced the now-legendary red ribbon: a silk sash inspired by the prestigious Légion d’Honneur, destined to become a universal emblem of luxury, boldness and distinction.
From Commander Charcot’s polar expeditions in 1904 to the pioneering zero-gravity flight planned for 2025, Cordon Rouge has continually pushed the boundaries, cementing its iconic place in the Maison’s story.

A reimagined design:
For a legendary cuvée
In 2025, Mumm unveils a completely refreshed label: a refined tribute to its heritage and a confident statement of its contemporary spirit.
The iconic red bow appears in an even more elegant, modern interpretation, boldly reimagining the silk ribbon first created in 1876.
Completing the design, a stylised version of Mumm’s historic eagle emerges in a gold embossed seal, a symbol of the Maison’s timeless codes.
Pinot Noir, the emblem of Maison Mumm for nearly two centuries, comes primarily from the Montagne de Reims.
