CORDON ROUGE CLUB MEMBER JOHN BLASHFORD-SNELL CARRIES OUT AN EXPEDITION INTO A REMOTE AREA OF THE ASSAM/BHUTAN BORDER

18 MAY 2015

Cordon Rouge Club member Colonel John Blashford-Snell has just used 12½ domestic elephants (one had a baby!) to carry an expedition into a remote area on the Assam/Bhutan border. They catalogued the wildlife including rhino, tiger, buffalo, bison and wild jumbos and met a 15 foot King Cobra. Conservation was encouraged by gifts of books and a computer to local schools. The team’s dentist pulled out dozens of teeth, handing teddy bears and puppets to the patients!
